Checking in at Cannes Centrale: Might Never Want to Leave
It’s Friday, and people are packing their bags for the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, starting Sunday. Here at MSLGROUP, we’ve been busy all week with the launch of our Cannes Centrale iPhone app and mobile site, a conversation platform curated by the public.
American blogger Tim Siedell – considered one of the funniest people on Twitter (@badbanana) by Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, TIME magazine and Mashable – is heading up a team of roving MSLGROUP reporters, setting the tone for a Reddit-style platform designed to provide insight and provoke comment about people, events and deals during the festival.
Cannes Centrale, developed by our colleagues at experiential agency PBJS in Seattle, is a great platform for capturing all the trends, issues and news related to the media/marketing/advertising and PR business–and trends that might be affecting your own corporate marketing efforts. So even if you are not attending the festival, log in and join the conversation. In true social fashion, you can rate, share, comment on and produce your own content, and upload photos, with the app.
And you can also follow what’s happening via Twitter: we’re posting from @msl_group while most Cannes delegates use #canneslions to be part of the festival conversation.
So see you in Cannes…Cannes Centrale, that is.
